Be gentle. This is my first attempt at a manga-style sketch.
And WARNING this is a big spoiler for "Full Moon wo Sagashite" and I do not want to ruin the ending at all for anyone (because it's WAY too good)! So stop looking/reading now if you haven't seen the ending!! Really! I mean it!
I just finished watching Full Moon wo Sagashite for the first time a couple days ago, and loved it, and was inspired to take a whack at at doing some fan-art from it. For my first try I'm pretty happy. I mean, you can tell who everyone is, right?
I'm way open to constructive, supportive feedback on how I can better my talent at this style, but this is my first try at it, so be nice... I know their hands are too small
EDIT: (06-27-07) having received some great feedback, I've made a couple little changes to Takuto's and Mitsuki's eye placement. I think it's better... Hands are still too small... must fix that next...
Disclaimer: not my characters, but is my art! Respect other's work and copyright law by not stealing art! Art thieves will be fed to the dragon. Thanks!
Do you have any suggestions as to what I could do better / how to get better (besides practice, duh)? I'm open to feedback... if you want to... don't have to...
Nah, you're already so good at it that one can say there's something, but can't really put a finger on it. If I really had to make a guess, I'd say eyes. They often cause some trouble in my experience.
Wow! I don't know this anime, but that's really cool! The eyes are a little bit off in my opinion. Many anime characters have so damn big eyes, and it's quite difficult to get them right mainly because of their size.

I hope I didn't spoil the ending for you. Full Moon is a really great Anime.
Can you be more specific on how the eyes are off? Too big? Wrong shape? Wrong highlights? I got a reference from the actual manga of the series for Takuto (the fella) but then used references from the anime for Meroko and Mitsuki (the gals). I feel like Takuto's eyes are right on with the manga, but Mitsuki's feel the weakest to me (she's the non-winged female).
Thanks for the compliments straight from an expert.
For those who have many watchers, and for those who dont have many, it is hard to know how one retains that interest as well as receive more. This article explores the basics of watchers and how we react to certain situations. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
